If you know of any book  (and tech or science) related websites that I might be interested in I'd love to hear from you.

Random Articles - RAW 160319

This week will be a short one. I spent all my free time reading Old Ironside.  It started off quickly with chapter 1 and then seemed to drag in chapter 2 while I waited for both protagonists to meet, but it's been an enjoyable read so far. Get it here: Interested? Use this link to grab yourself a copy from Amazon. Wolf's Books may receive a commission. Here are a few of my most recent articles which you may have missed: Different Bible Translations... What's With That? Superhero Series | The Incredible Hulk

Superhero Series | The Incredible Hulk

[Christian devotion] The Incredible Hulk is anger personified. He is a giant green monster that is always ready to burst out at any moment, when the situation and his internal frustrations cause him to lose control. I can relate to the Incredible Hulk, I struggle with these same difficulties every day, only I don’t turn into a giant green superhero as a result. Rather than using anger for good I find that my outbursts always negatively impact my professional and personal live. As Christians we know that some anger is sinful, so how can I tell if in my anger I am sinning? Firstly we need to understand that anger is always a response to something else. I resound with one of the below articles which says "Han Solo taught a whole generation what masculinity was; he existed as one end of the Harrison Ford manhood magnetic pole, with Indiana Jones on the other end."  I collected two articles which express my feelings on this event, these were the only ones I came across amongst a lot of other Star Wars articles about instant bread and outrage that Rey wasn't included in many spin off marketing stuff, like games etc. Anyway I've placed these articles at the bottom of the following list. Enjoy them with your favourite bever...

Different Bible Translations... What's With That?

If you've visited the About Me page on this blog you'll know that I've trained and worked as a Christian pastor and also worked in a Christian book store.  One of the favourite parts of my job in the book shop was selling (and purchasing) the Bibles. Because of this I have people approach me in regards to Bible related subjects.  One is a question about all the different Bible translations out there.  In recent times it does seem like there is a Bible tailored for everyone. Men's Bible, Women's Bible, Boy's Bible, Sport's Bibles, Study Bibles, Archaeology Study Bible. The Bible for Men Who Love Playing Minecraft, etc.

The weekend is here so you may wish to kick it off  with the last article on this list  3 Reasons to Keep Your Laptop Closed This Weekend , it's a good rationale for enjoying what we have been given. If you have time why not look through some of my own articles, my latest one is on S piderman and the Christian life .  I have another one on the Incredible Hulk and the Christian life coming out in two weeks time.  A quick review on the new Sliding Void book, Anomalous Thrust by Stephen Hunt has been getting a lot of attention, have a read if you haven't already.  You may also be interested in one from the Dusty Shelves archives, that I've recently re-titled Creating Beats Consuming to reflect the content better.
